Shrinks LOVE drugs

I've been meaning to mention this for a couple weeks now.

I went up to our social/behavioral sciences prof (a shrink) and asked him if he knew any behavioral tips to help me stop biting my fingernails. See, it's been a habit of mine since I was a little kid, and usually I'm walking around with bleeding sores on my fingertips. Obviously that's a bad call working with patients who also have bleeding sores. Except their sores are HIV+. I'd prefer that my sores not be HIV+.

He offered 1-0n-1 counseling with a behavioral therapist. Or, option 2: He could put me on SSRI's.

Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors. For biting my fingernails.

So, instead of being put on major psychoactive drugs, I decided instead that I'd just stop biting my fingernails. By myself. Without a therapist. It's been 3 weeks now.
